Welcome to the Scalable Security Research Lab
The Scalable Security Research (SSR) Lab in the Division of Computer Science and Engineering at Louisiana State University develops data driven and systems level approaches to securing the modern internet. We study cybercrime ecosystems, online risk perception, and the design and deployment of security mechanisms at scale.
To address these challenges, we combine large scale measurement, machine learning, natural language processing, and software and systems security to analyze abuse across the web and modern communication platforms. Our work integrates empirical research with system building to create detection, warning, and mitigation technologies that operate effectively in real world environments.
